Tim Hinton Music is generously donating an original marching arrangement to be performed by the Lesbian and Gay Band Association for the 2019 NYC WorldPride | Stonewall 50 March.
Composer and arranger Tim Hinton, along with percussion arranger Colton Hines, is preparing music for a medley of songs by Troye Sivan. The arrangement will be the feature selection for the LGBA WorldPride Band during the March on June 30 in New York City.
The LGBA WorldPride Band will also perform two other selections during the March: a Victor López arrangement of “Party in the U.S.A.” by Miley Cyrus and “Dance Again” by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, arranged by Tom Wallace. Tim Hinton Music is also generously donating the costs of these pieces to the LGBA WorldPride Band.
LGBA’s artistic director for the WorldPride Band, Cameron Elliott, recently visited with Hinton about LGBA and WorldPride on the Marching Roundtable Podcast. Listen to the podcast on iTunes or at the Marching Arts Education website.
“Tim is an internationally renowned name in the marching world as a judge, designer, composer and educator,” Cameron said. “His passion for musical excellence, the marching arts and for the LGBTQ+ community are what drew us to bring him on board. We are very lucky and excited to be partnering with him.”
