Pride Bands Alliance Committees
As a part of the strategic planning process, your Pride Bands Alliance Board of Directors works in various committees throughout the year. These committees help move our organization forward and provide outreach to each of our member bands. We welcome those of you who would like to take part in these endeavors by joining a committee. Committee service is a great way to make a difference while getting to know others across the Pride Bands community.
Committee Chair: Jessie Riggins
- Maintains the Pride Bands technology resources
- Explores and recommends new uses of technology in support of organizational objectives
- Conducts the Alliance social media platforms
Committee Chair: David Doan
- Teams with upcoming conference hosts to assist production of annual conferences
- Acts as a liaison between conference hosts and the Board
- Maintains the conference RFP and works with hosts to meet its guidelines
- Manages the conference scholarship program
- Manages awards for member bands and the Pillars of Pride
Committee Chair: Kevin Taylor
- Commission a new composition piece for the 2022 conference
- Create video histories and other archive exhibits for the 2022 conference
Committee Chair: Cliff Norris
- Sets goals for annual fundraising
- Makes recommendations for and pursues grants and sponsorships
- Makes financial recommendations to the Treasurer and Board
Committee Chair: Moira Wilmes
- Sets goals and benchmarks for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives for Pride Bands Alliance and its member bands
Committee Chair: David Doan
- Supports and engages with Member Bands and Partner organizations
- Networks with member band leadership
- Provides information and resources to new bands
- Fosters relations among neighboring bands
Committee Chair: David McBee
- Teams with other national LGBTQ+ movements and arts organizations in promoting our respective core values
- Recommends possible collaborative projects
- Promotes Pride Bands Alliance to these organizations and vice-versa
Committee Chair: Robb Blackwell
- Seeks national and large-scale events in which Pride Bands and/or member organizations can participate
- Organizes the Pride Bands participation in special events beyond the Annual Conference
- Coordinates Team Band and Pride Bands involvement with Federation of Gay Games

- Develops a Strategic Plan for Pride Bands Alliance
- Ensures that members of our Board of Directors and committees are working toward achieving measures that align with the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan
